We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. This is a permanent position based in the Manchester area.
* The successful candidate will provide on-site support for service maintenance and workshop tasks, which may involve travel at short notice and extended periods.
* Responsibilities include preparing and approving work packs for service team activities, performing mechanical completion checks, factory acceptance tests, electrical function/loop checks, and leak/pressure testing.
* The technician will also compile detailed technical reports on customer equipment, deliver aftersales support, including inspections, spare part identification, and technical advice.
* Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations is a key aspect of this role.
* The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and engineering teams, maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools, and travel daily to customer sites as required.
This role requires a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship, preferably HGV/Heavy Plant Engineering. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation is essential.
* The ideal candidate will have experience with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems, as well as an understanding of industry standards and wastewater procedures.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is also required.
