Job Role
Purpose
* To provide leadership and support to the staff team to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to the children and young people as part of Acorns to Oaks Children's care and support.
* Act as a leader, role model and coordinator of shifts, fully deputising for the Registered Home Manager in their absence.
* To lead the development of the child/young person's Care Plan ensuring its delivery daily and ensuring that all the basic physical needs of the children and young people are met
* To provide guidance to colleagues, communicating goals, objectives, and practice to all staff team to support development.
* To provide leadership and guidance to support decision making that is always in the best interests of the children/young people and the organisation
* To actively monitoring and providing feedback to individuals.
* To be alert to signs of distress, neglect, or abuse, ensuring that the children and young people are monitored and protected.
* To know, understand and role model Acorns to Oaks cultural and behavioural expectations.
* Along with the Registered Manager, facilitate regular team meetings and planning meetings with the staff team.
* Along with the Registered Manager, be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of health and safety amongst the staff team.
Qualifications
* Proven management and supervisory experience in a care home setting
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff
* Experience in Children's Residential Settings
* Knowledge of care plans and medication administration
* Familiarity with PACE approach
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with young people and families
* Level 4/5 qualification around children's residential
* Driver's Licence required and willing to drive
Salary & Package:
GBP 32,947 (£16.64 PER HOUR)
Sleep Ins paid additional at GBP 60.00 per sleep
Shift pattern in line with organisational requirements

Pay: £32,947.00-£40,104.72 per year
