Events Manager (Maternity Cover)
15-month fixed-term contract | Full-time (35 hours per week)
Hybrid – London office (2 days) / remote (3 days) | UK travel required
My client, a renowned membership organisation are looking for an experienced Events Manager to lead the delivery of a high-quality events programme during a period of maternity cover. This role oversees a varied portfolio including a flagship annual conference, committee meetings and digital events.
You will manage events end-to-end, working closely with internal teams, committees and external suppliers to deliver engaging, inclusive and cost-effective events that support professional education and member engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning and delivery of conferences, meetings and digital events
* Provide strategic oversight of a large-scale annual conference
* Manage suppliers, venues and Professional Conference Organisers
* Work with marketing colleagues to maximise engagement and attendance
* Manage event budgets, forecasts and reporting
* Ensure compliance with governance, GDPR, health & safety and CPD requirements
* Use insight and feedback to drive continuous improvement
We seek someone who has;
* Proven experience delivering multiple events from concept to evaluation
* Strong project management and organisational skills
* Experience managing suppliers and budgets
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Confidence using CRM systems, registration platforms and digital tools
* Is willing to travel within the UK and work flexibly around events
