Communicate Technology is on the lookout for a proactive and customer-focused First Line Engineer to join our technical support team at our Wynyard HQ.
As the first point of contact for our users, you’ll play a vital role in helping resolve IT issues efficiently — from password resets to troubleshooting Windows 11 problems — ensuring our clients can get back to doing what they do best.
What you’ll be doing:
* Provide 1st line support via phone, email, and remote tools
* Troubleshoot issues across Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
* Assist with user rights, accounts, passwords, and basic security administration
* Handle technical queries and service requests, escalating when needed
* Keep users updated and deliver outstanding customer service
* Log, manage, and resolve incidents in line with SLA agreements
What we’re looking for:
* At least 1 year of experience in IT support or system administration
* Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11
* Basic understanding of networking (ping, trace route, etc.)
* Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 admin tasks
* Great communication skills – able to translate tech into plain English
* Keen to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
