Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team. Working as a Team leader you will supervise and motivate a team of Residential Support Workers, whilst also completing a hands-on role to ensure the highest quality of care is offered to the children and young people in our care. You will design, implement and monitor the care and education plans in accordance with the individual needs of our children and young people to ensure that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create.

Responsibilities
* To provide the highest quality of care and support as part of the care team to in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and standards set by the Regulatory Body
* Supporting, mentoring and educating our children in day to day activities to develop their emotional and social needs
* Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
* Positive engagement to encourage our children and young adults in their development
* Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of on-going development
* Managing complex and challenging behaviour
* Support with engagement in activities
* Leading shifts and supervising junior members of staff
* Leading a team that is passionate, committed and driven to achieve a high quality of service delivery
* Delegating areas of responsibilities, in relation to support worker roles
* Supporting the young people's emotional needs
* Contributing towards maintaining a safe, warm and homely environment
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children is essential; childcare qualifications are desirable
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and families
* Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence
* A compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in your care
