Occupational Therapist (Part-Time) - Sunfield
We are seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist, preferably trained in Sensory Integration, to develop and deliver an occupational therapy service within Ruskin Mill’s Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) framework and Rudolf Steiner’s human development approach. The role involves addressing sensory and self-regulation needs as outlined in students’ EHC plans.
Main Duties:
1. Provide effective, specialized Occupational Therapy to a caseload of residential and day students at Sunfield, following the PSTE method.
2. Contribute to developing sensory and experiential learning plans integrated into students’ daily and residential activities.
3. Support the creation of resources for sensory and experiential activities.
4. Develop and apply clinical skills in Sensory Integration, assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and evaluation.
5. Offer specialist advice to departments, professionals, and families within the PSTE framework.
6. Participate in the evaluation and ongoing development of the Occupational Therapy Service.
Training in PSTE will be provided. Ideally, candidates will have knowledge of or be open to Steiner principles of holistic and experiential education and therapeutic care.
