DFC Work Experience - ReStore Reception and Admin
Habitat ReStore is a low cost social enterprise that sells new and used building and home improvement materials, supporting the work of Habitat for Humanity both locally and around the world. Habitat ReStore is a retail environment that has a huge impact on the local community and is supported by a number of staff and a volunteer team. This WEP reception and admin role will be an opportunity for individuals to gain reception and admin work experience within a busy retail environment and to feel they are contributing to the local community.
Responsibilities
* Answering the telephone
* Dealing with enquiries
* Assisting with Facebook sales
* Booking collections of donations
* Contacting customers regarding collection of sales items
* Other admin-related activities.
Skills and Qualifications
* Basic computer skills are essential.
* Positive and flexible approach
* Good interpersonal skills
* Willingness to learn
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Further Information
This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 8 weeks and will require attendance of 25-30 hours. While on Work Experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Those who are not receiving benefit are also welcome to participate. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment equivalent to £10/day to a maximum of £50/week.
