2-3 months contract with a local authority Job Purpose Provide high-quality, direct care and structured interventions for young people residing at Willow Rise Children’s Home Contribute to the delivery of a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment that promotes the physical, emotional, educational, and social well-being of all residents Key Duties/Accountabilities Deliver 1:1 support and interventions aligned with each young person’s placement plan Design and implement structured daily routines and activity timetables to foster personal development Encourage participation in education, healthy living, family connection, and community engagement Ensure the home meets high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance Maintain up-to-date and accurate care records in accordance with Ofsted and Council standards Carry out daily tasks to ensure smooth running of the home, including managing food, maintenance, and supplies Adhere to safeguarding policies, conduct risk assessments, and respond to incidents appropriately Essential Experience Required Direct experience working with vulnerable young people in a residential care or related setting is essential Experience of working within a multi-agency framework, supporting complex needs is essential Essential Qualification Required Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (Children’s Residential or equivalent) is essential Additional information to note Working hours: 24 hours per week The role requires an enhanced DBS check Shift work will include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as needed This is a front-line role that requires flexibility and emotional resilience Office-based induction period is required The role closes soon, please apply ASAP.
