Highway Enforcement Officer - £21.95 p/h
Hybrid working - but a lot of out and about investigation work
Initial 6 month contract, possible extensions
* Experience of delivering on‑street statutory enforcement within a local authority, public sector organisation, or comparable contracted enforcement service.
* Experience of engaging with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to resolve issues impacting the local environment.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with external partner agencies, including the police and other enforcement bodies.
* Experience of managing a caseload of enforcement, compliance, or investigation‑based cases on behalf of a front‑line operational service.
* Evidence‑gathering and reporting skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate written statements and case files to support formal or legal proceedings.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to highway or public realm (Highways Act 1980 - ideal but not essential).
* Resilience, professionalism, and confidence working in an on‑street environment, including dealing with conflict and maintaining personal safety
* Full driving licence with access to their own vehicle
