Assistant Store Manager Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the opening and day-to-day running of our Petersfield store on a 3 day per week permanent contract. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, with previous clothing retail experience and a genuine love for delivering outstanding service. You will work closely with the Store Manager to coach and motivate the team, ensuring they embody the WoolOvers brand values and provide every customer with a memorable shopping experience. As Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in driving performance, maintaining high operational standards, and helping to build and nurture a loyal customer base.
Responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager with the smooth running of daily store operations.
* Lead by example on the shop floor, delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
* Assist in motivating, coaching, and developing team members to achieve individual and store targets.
* Support with visual merchandising to ensure the store reflects the WoolOvers brand and drives sales.
* Monitor sales performance and contribute to achieving KPIs.
* Help deliver regular training sessions to improve product knowledge and customer engagement.
* Maintain an organised, safe, and welcoming store environment.
* Act as the Store Manager's deputy in their absence.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous retail clothing management experience (Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or similar role).
* Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and contribute to driving sales.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
* Good commercial awareness with an understanding of KPIs and store performance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* A passion for fashion, knitwear, and representing the WoolOvers brand.
* Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading periods as required.
