About the Role
we are seeking a
Business Analyst
with strong expertise in
Payments Merchant Services
to join our dynamic team in Northampton. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to analyse requirements and deliver scalable IT solutions across the payments domain.
Key Responsibilities
* Work as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to capture, analyse, and document requirements.
* Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and impact analysis.
* Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
* Perform detailed process mapping, data analysis, and gap analysis within
merchant acquiring and payments
.
* Support end-to-end project lifecycle including requirement analysis, testing support, and post-implementation review.
* Ensure compliance with internal governance standards and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a
Business Analyst in IT projects
, preferably within
Payments and Merchant Services
.
* Strong understanding of
payments processing, merchant acquiring, and transaction lifecycle
.
* Knowledge of Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban) and experience with tools such as
JIRA, Confluence, Visio
.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience in working within large-scale financial institutions or fintech environments.
* Familiarity with
regulatory and compliance requirements
in the payments industry is desirable.
Educational Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
* Certifications such as
IIBA CBAP, Agile BA, or Scrum Master
will be an advantage.
