Overview
Housing and Technical Resources seek to recruit a Stores Assistant to join the team. As part of South Lanarkshire Kitchen Replacement Program this job will include taking delivery of multiple kitchens per week, checking these are the correct undamaged items, communicating with site supervisors to arrange delivery of the kitchens on the required day along any sundry items required to go with that kitchen.
Responsibilities
* Take delivery of multiple kitchens per week and verify items are correct and undamaged.
* Communicate with site supervisors to arrange delivery on the required day and to arrange any sundry items to accompany the kitchen.
* Maintain health and safety awareness in the workplace and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
Qualifications and Requirements
A proven track record within a plant workshop stores environment is desirable, the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines, awareness of health and safety in the workplace and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
An essential requirement for this post is to have excellent customer care skills, good communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in a similar role or within a workshop environment is preferred.

* Hours: 39 hours per week
* Salary: £31,579 - £32,026 per year
* Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm; Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm
