Salary and Benefits
* BASIC SALARY: up to £58,600
* Quarterly bonus of circa £4,400
* On call allowance of circa £2,000 to earn circa £65,000

Location and Travel
Home based - covering the UK & Ireland. You will be expected to travel and stay away as required, typically 2 nights per week on average. You will also be offering technical support in the office in the East Midlands for a week every 7 weeks and will be expected to stay locally whilst on call.

Job Description
Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - packaging machinery - food
A classic field Service Engineer role incorporating the repair, upgrade and refurbishment of existing machinery, the installation and commissioning of new machinery. You will also be offering remote technical support from the office (1 week in 7) plus generating after sales revenue and lastly being involved in client training. Full product training in the UK & in Europe.
Person Specification
* You WILL have a proven track record as a field Service Engineer with specific experience of working upon packaging or process machinery used in the food industry.
* You WILL be a qualified multi skilled Engineer, ideally to HNC + level.
* You will be comfortable working with clients on after sales & training.
The Company
A well established UK sales & service office of a European manufacturer of packaging machinery supplied to the food industry. They have corporate technical support but a small company feel. They don't recruit often, but when they do, people who join them stay with them. I have recruited for them before and this role is to replace a candidate I placed there who has just been promoted.
