Qualified Social Worker, Learning Disability Team
Pay rate: £30.66 per hour
Vitalis is recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to work in a Learning Disability Team in Blackpool.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Adult Social Care Learning Disability Team. The team works with adults and young people living in Blackpool, providing direct support and commissioning specialist support from providers.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 9am – 5pm, and Fridays 9am – 4.30pm. The role is based at Blackpool Council Bickerstaffe Offices.
This role involves working with and supporting adults and young people with learning disabilities, completing Care Act Assessments and Care Act reviews. The position is line managed by the Learning Disability Team Manager.
The team comprises Adult Social Care staff from Blackpool Council and NHS Health staff from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed social worker with excellent communication and organizational skills, a competent knowledge of the Care Act 2014, and experience in safeguarding, managing risk, and care management.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with learning disabilities and their families, a passion for learning disabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners. You should be an effective team player, an excellent communicator, and eager to contribute your energy and enthusiasm to the team and the people we support.
