Job Description: Maintenance Electrician at Equans
Equans is a renowned facilities and maintenance contractor, part of the Bouygues global industrial group. We specialize in the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our facilities team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This is a permanent, full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with alternating weekly shift times.
The Role:
* Reporting to the Shift Lead / Operations Manager
* Delivering electrical planned and reactive maintenance, along with scheduled installation works
* Overseeing specialist sub-contractors and managing contractors, ensuring adherence to safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures
* Attending to PPM and reactive tasks within contract timescales
* Covering for other technicians as needed
* Participating in the on-call rota and working overtime when required
* Working 40 hours per week, with shifts from 7am-3.30pm or 10am-6.30pm, alternating weekly
* Possessing a recognized electrical trade apprenticeship and relevant qualifications at Level 2 or 3, with suitable industry experience
* Having good knowledge of electrical testing, fault finding, maintenance, refurbishment, and installation
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Willing to attain cross-skilling
* Extensive experience with building services in a maintenance role
* Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose faults
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* IT literate and committed to personal development
