Management Accountant – Edinburgh
We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant who will take ownership of the end-to-end management accounts process, playing a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and meaningful insight to support decision-making. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, combining strong technical expertise with a commercial mindset.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts across multiple entities
* Perform detailed variance analysis and provide clear, insightful commentary
* Produce and present KPI reports to senior stakeholders
* Analyse revenue streams to ensure accurate and compliant recognition
* Conduct cost analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
* Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, including financial modelling
* Maintain and improve financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards
* Assist with audit processes and preparation of required documentation
* Partner with budget holders to review performance and challenge assumptions
* Lead regular finance review meetings with stakeholders
* Support the implementation and ongoing optimisation of ERP systems
* Identify and drive process improvements across reporting and finance operations
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support decision‑making and business performance
We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the confidence to build relationships across both finance and non-finance teams.
