Job Description
We're seeking an Income Officer in Warrington to support our Social Housing client on a rolling temporary contract. This is a full-time role (37 hours per week), working on a hybrid basis with 2 x set office days.
Your new role
* Manage your own caseload of customer accounts, ensuring income maximisation and minimal rent arrears for the group
* Liaise with customers via telephone, email, or face to face visits where required to discuss arrears and bring accounts back up to date
* Take early intervention and complete income, expenditure and affordability assessments to agree affordable repayment plans
* Prepare pre-court paperwork and initiate legal proceedings where appropriate to recover outstanding arrears
* Work closely with Tenancy Sustainment Officers, Neighbourhood Officers and Enforcement Officers within the group, as well as other external agencies
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in an income recovery role within social housing, with a good understanding of legislation and best practice
* Strong IT CRM skills, experience of QL system preferable
* Experience of completing income and expenditure forms, and agreeing affordable repayment plans
* An understanding of welfare benefits
