Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear (and surrounding areas)
Salary & Benefits: £26,000 – £42,000 + training and benefits. Further training options include BOHS P cert modules or RSPH tickets.
Locations of work include: Sunderland, Durham, Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Washington, Seaham, Chester‑Le‑Street, Houghton le Spring, Stanley, Consett, Prudhoe, Newcastle upon Tyne, Hebburn, Gateshead, North Shields, South Shields, Blyth, Hartlepool, Spennymoor, Middlesborough, Redcar, Yarm, Barnard Castle, Guisborough, Saltburn‑by‑the‑Sea.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS accredited company
- Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
- Good understanding of HSG 264 guidelines
- Able to produce detailed technical reports
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Hardworking attitude
- Desirable: interest in p401/p402/p403/p404 or s301 CCP
Responsibilities
- Undertake asbestos management, demolition and refurbishment surveys
- Collect ACM samples from site
- Meet with clients to provide updates after completing surveys
- Collate findings to produce site‑specific technical reports
- Deliver asbestos awareness training courses
- Wear correct PPE on site
- Support new members of staff with training
- Adhere to company travel needs
