Cera has also gathered the largest home healthcare dataset in Europe, powering the development of cutting-edge AI products that have reduced hospitalisations by up to 70%, saving the UK Government and NHS more than £1 billion to date.

The UK’s Number 1 ranked HealthTech company, Cera’s pioneering approach has been recognised by numerous industry awards including a Newsweek AI Impact Award, the UK Tech Awards’ Tech for Good Prize, Health Tech Digital’s Best Use of Artificial Intelligence, the Deloitte Fast 50 and EY’s prestigious UK Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2024. Cera was recently recognised by TIME Magazine as one of the World’s Top HealthTech Companies, and has been recognised as the Number 1 Healthcare AI Company for 2025.

About the role

The Clinical Research Partnerships Manager is a pivotal commercial role responsible for

executing Cera's research partnerships strategy within the health and life sciences ecosystems.

You will support the Director in building and managing a robust pipeline of high-impact

partnerships with Life Sciences partners, including Pharma, Biotech, and CROs. A critical part of this role involves acting as an external ambassador for Cera's research capabilities - specifically our ability to recruit and retain patients for trials - to drive qualified lead generation and revenue

Responsibilities

Partnership Sales & Pipeline Development

* Pipeline Growth: Support the growth of the partnership pipeline by identifying and qualifying new leads generated through marketing campaigns, conference attendance, and direct outreach. Focus specifically on leads for clinical trial recruitment

* Deal Execution: Manage the full deal process for assigned accounts, from outreach through to contracting. This includes leading internal feasibility assessments with data teams to ensure recruitment targets are realistic before contracts are signed.

* Proposal Creation: Prepare commercial proposals and pitch materials, specifically tailored to the needs of Clinical Operations, Feasibility, and Patient Recruitment teams.

Account & Relationship Management

* Client Success: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Life Science partners, nurturing relationships to ensure mutual success, long-term value, and satisfaction.

* Operational Alignment: Act as the bridge between the client and Cera's internal teams to ensure that sold projects are delivered on time and to client satisfaction

Industry Presence & Marketing

* Conference Representation: Identify key industry conferences to attend. Represent Cera professionally through booth presence and networking, effectively communicating our value proposition to generate new leads.

* Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing teams to shape the go-to-market message. Contribute to the development of essential collateral, including case studies, presentations, and thought leadership content (e.g., webinars, whitepapers).

Performance & Reporting

* CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all partnership activities in the CRM system, ensuring leads from marketing and events are tracked effectively through the funnel.

* Reporting: Prepare regular reports on pipeline status, forecasted revenue, and the ROI of marketing activities.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

* Proven Sales Experience: Proven experience in a B2B business development, account management, or partnerships role within the life sciences, CRO, or clinical research sectors with an extensive network.

* Education: Undergraduate degree in the Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related scientific discipline (essential for understanding clinical protocols).

* Industry Knowledge: Experience selling to CROs or Pharma, with a deep understanding of the clinical trial lifecycle and patient recruitment challenges

* Tech Savvy: Strong familiarity with CRM solutions (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and pipeline management.

* Commercial Relationships: A track record of building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with external stakeholders.

* Communication: A confident and compelling communicator, comfortable representing the company in external settings such as industry conferences, webinars, and partner meetings.

* Passion: A genuine passion for leveraging technology and data to improve healthcare and patient outcomes.

* Direct Event Experience: Direct experience presenting at industry conferences to generate business leads.

* Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with marketing teams on go-to-market strategies or lead generation initiatives.
