Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Operation Analyst to join our Equity Derivative Settlements team in Chester serving our internal clients. You will provide technical support in an industry-leading Derivatives support function for one or more Derivatives product areas.
This team is well established in Chester, with a presence there for 10 years. You will interact with partners globally, including senior colleagues, from locations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, London and New York. This is an exciting opportunity if career development is important to you.
Responsibilities
* Providing excellent client service to internal clients to agree cash flows and support global business needs.
* Investigating and resolving pre- and post-cash settlement discrepancies and non-receipts. Undertaking cash reconciliations.
* Reporting on and clearing cash breaks. Analysing and resolving a wide variety of derivatives operations problems.
* Liaising with Trade Support across London, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York to resolve risk and break issues.
* Adding value through system and control improvements by participating in projects and ad-hoc testing.
* Performing root cause analyses, communicating updates to senior management, and continually improving client service and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
* Communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority with internal and external clients.
* Excellent numeracy and analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation. Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a high-energy environment and to learn and develop in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* A keen problem solver with a drive for process improvement and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Skills
* Derivative and Custom Service experience is desirable.
* Commitment to challenging the status quo and promoting positive change.
* Ability to work with diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forward.
* Experience in connecting with a diverse set of clients to understand future business needs.
