Responsibilities
The Employment Specialist will work under the direction of an IPS Team Leader to deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model as part of the holistic recovery plan for mental health service users in the community. Key duties include:
* Delivering the IPS model with full training provided.
* Managing a caseload of up to 20 people who have experienced mental health problems and are seeking new employment or to retain current roles.
* Engaging directly with service users, local employers, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and other stakeholders in various community settings.
* Traveling between sites within the Trust independently.
* Collaborating with IPS Team Leaders and fellow Specialists to support the wider IPS service across the county.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with local employers to create inclusive employment opportunities.
Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate:
* Experience or knowledge of the IPS model or similar supported employment approaches.
* Ability to manage a caseload and work independently across multiple community settings.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to the values of caring, safe and excellent.
Applicants must also provide references covering the last 3 years of employment or study and comply with mandatory and statutory training requirements.
