The role: Material Controller Team Leader
We are seeking a Team Leader for Fleet Logistic Coordinators in the Supply Chain team, specializing in material flow control. This role involves working collaboratively with stakeholders and providing strategic direction for a team of 27 Fleet Logistic Coordinators.
The Team Leader will own the delivery of the supply chain plan, escalate issues promptly, and ensure effective communication with customers and suppliers. Strong supplier management, communication skills, and analytical capabilities are essential.
What you’ll do:
1. Serve as the main contact for our customers, ensuring seamless service delivery.
2. Oversee internal performance of the Supply Chain, proactively addressing issues to optimize material flow.
3. Ensure timely delivery of spares to maintain operational continuity.
4. Engage with customers and suppliers to resolve deviations from service levels.
5. Validate material requirements and provide strategic guidance to streamline operations.
6. Prioritize effectively in conflicting demand situations.
7. Manage relationships with key customers and facilitate smooth information flow.
8. Support customers proactively and ensure their needs are met.
9. Review supply issues thoroughly and coordinate resolutions.

Your experience:
* Minimum 5 years in Engineering or Supply Chain environment

* Knowledge of Airworthiness Requirements and component documentation
* Understanding of British Airways quality standards for aircraft spares
