We currently have an opportunity for aTariff Accountantto join our team basedin Exeter.Joining us on afull-time permanentbasis, you will receive a competitive salary of£45,000 – £50,000 per annumplus excellent benefits.
About the role
As our Tariff Accountant you will be focused on delivering clear and comprehensive revenue information to the business. You will be involved from initial tariff preparation through to revenue recognition. This role leads on preparation and publication of all Regulated tariffs in the business (Mains Charges / Developer Services / NAV / Access Pricing for all regions - Bournemouth, Bristol, Isles of Scilly, South West and Sutton & East Surrey). This role is supported by the Tariff and Commercial Accountant.
What you'll be doing
* Preparation of the charges and tariffs including detailed analysis and commentary, and published documents.
* Lead / Assist (as appropriate to each project) the development of new charges / charge structures / edits to existing charges.
* Lead / Assist / Co-ordinate (as appropriate) with the Tariff and Non Household Commercial Accountant to ensure cohesion across all tariff regions.
* Lead contact for external assurance / review on charges
* Supporting the preparation of forecasting, budgets and ad-hoc analysis or information to support specific projects, initiatives or decision making by management.
* Maintaining and accurately executing business processes and controls relevant to your region in line with established company policies and procedures.
* Key sign off of charges into billing systems prior to annual go live.
* Lead on tariff related Regulatory returns
* Support response to Ofwat and Industry consultations and queries
* Support market engagement and communication
What we're looking for
* Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong analytical and Excel skills.
* Forecasting / Modelling experience
* Ability to translate and communicate financial information to individuals without a background in Finance.
