Offer description

Are you an established Property Solicitor or Litigator with experience of leasehold work (lease extensions and lease enfranchisement), looking for a new opportunity with growth potential?

This opportunity is working for a highly respected coastal Law firm with a long-established history and quality work. They are looking for someone to join their expanding Leasehold Enfranchisement Team, with an established case load and loyal clients.

The successful Leasehold Enfranchisement Lawyer will assist the Partner as well as managing your own case load, in a friendly and supportive team environment, with excellent administrative/paralegal support.

Responsibilities

* Acting for landlords and tenants in transactions involving freehold sales and purchases involving s5 notices;
* Acting for landlords and tenants in negotiated lease extensions;
* Acting for landlords and tenants in statutory lease extensions;
* Acting for landlords and tenants in variations of leases including clause variations and Licence for Alterations;
* Acting for landlords in acceptance of assignments including drafting LPE1 replies, deeds of covenants and Licences to Assign;
* Acting for landlords and tenants in enfranchisement claims;
* Making applications to the FTT and advising on procedure;
* Advising on SDLT including higher rates, reliefs and exemptions;
* Developing relationships with surveyors, agents and other property professionals.

Qualifications

* A client-focused experienced Residential Property Lawyer who is willing to be involved in a busy department with a varied caseload;
* Ideally qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX with at least 2 years PQE (non-qualified staff with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply);
* Client focused
* Must be able to work independently without reliance on case management;
* Keen team player with commercial awareness

Whilst full-time is preferred, part-time will also be considered. The firm operates a hybrid working model after successful completion of a probationary period, along with an extensive benefits package and regular pay reviews. They are heavily involved in the local community and there are opportunities to be involved in local charity events, together with firm-wide social events which are held during the year. This is very much a fun-loving yet professional firm, where staff are the center of everything they do (this is easily demonstrated by their low staff turnover).
