£27,289.60 pre-probation rising to £27,851.20 post-probation (52-week contract)
£23,406.08 pre-probation rising to £23,887.76 post-probation (39-week contract)
Key Responsibilities
* Support young people in developing life skills, social skills and confidence
* Encourage progress through tailored programmes and structured routines
* Promote wellbeing and maintain the highest levels of safety
* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
* Act as a consistent role model during daily activities
* Help plan, organise and join in with engaging activities (e.g. outdoor adventures, creative tasks, life skills sessions)
* Support with personal care and behavioural strategies where required
To join this team, you’ll need to demonstrate compassion, resilience and consistency, especially when supporting young people with significant communication and behavioural challenges.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, ideally within SEN
* Experience supporting autistic young people or those with additional needs
* Full UK driving licence (rural location requires driving)
* Strong communication skills and a calm, mature approach
* Ability to work flexibly with shift patterns
* Empathy, reliability and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
