WORKING HOURS:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am
5pm - Occasional flexibility will be required to work outside of core hours, including weekends and overnight stays

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant with a full, clean driving licence and excellent IT and communication skills.
As a Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant you will support a visually impaired employee and guide dog owner through both in-person and remote assistance, including sighted guidance, travel support, and help with accessing systems.
The Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant will also assist with day-to-day planning, travel logistics, and guide dog support. Youll receive full training in sighted guiding and guide dog awareness, ensuring you feel fully equipped and supported in this rewarding role.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant include:
Provide Sighted Guidance:
Support navigation in unfamiliar environments safely and confidently
Assist With Travel:
Drive and accompany the employee and guide dog to meetings, sites, and stations
Administrative Support:
Help with note-taking, document preparation and access to IT systems
Guide Dog Care:
Offer basic assistance such as ensuring safe access and exercise when needed
Event Support:
Describe environments, layouts and presentations at meetings or external events
Confidential Support:
Handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Communication Assistance:
Facilitate interactions and relay information when required
Work Flexibility:
Occasionally travel or stay overnight for work-related commitments
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
A full, clean UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
Confident driver, comfortable with long-distance travel across the South and UK
Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Person-centred approach with the ability to build trust in a one-to-one setting
Self-motivated, reliable, and flexible team player
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
