Bronswerk Marine, a global leader of complete marine heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems providing turnkey solutions for commercial and military vessels through its 12 offices worldwide.
What will be your role?
Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Pipefitter Journeyperson / Apprentice will work in collaboration with the Halifax installation team:
Responsibilities:
1. Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
2. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements
3. Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
4. Select type and size of pipe required
5. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
6. Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
7. Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
8. Test system for leaks using testing equipment
9. Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
Which candidate profile are we looking for?
10. Holds a valid Red Seal accreditation (preferred) or is a registered Apprentice
11. Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights
12. Good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timelines
13. Good physical dexterity to work in tight or awkward locations
14. No criminal record, must be able to meet security clearance requirements
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and a Canadian Government Security clearance.
