PMO Analyst (Data & Insights)
2 Year FTC
Location: Farringdon | Full time | Hybrid/Office based 2-3 days per week with occasional UK travel
Salary: £47.1k - 58.3k (dependent on skills and qualifications)

Responsibilities
* Collect, validate, and maintain high‑quality project and portfolio data across multiple initiatives.
* Establish consistent data standards, definitions, and structures across the portfolio.
* Work with Project Managers to ensure timely and accurate data submission.
* Analyse project performance data (schedule, cost, RAID, milestones, dependencies), identify trends, risks and emerging issues.
* Provide clear, data‑driven insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, supporting proactive decision‑making to improve delivery outcomes.
* Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI.
* Develop advanced Excel models for analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
* Present complex data in a clear, concise, and visually compelling way.
* Continuously improve reporting automation and data visualisation approaches.
* Use data to assess project compliance with PMO standards and governance requirements, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and support assurance reviews with evidence‑based insights.
* Work with delivery teams to improve data quality and compliance, supporting onboarding of new projects into the PMO framework.
* Identify and implement improvements to PMO processes, tools, and reporting; promote consistency and best practice across the portfolio.
* Support broader PMO activities including governance, planning, RAID, change control, and collaboration with PMO colleagues to enhance processes and standards.
* Provide administrative support to the Portfolio Management Office, including meeting arrangements, slide preparation, risk tracking, minute completion and circulation.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a PMO Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role within a portfolio office.
* Advanced Power BI skills (dashboard development, data modelling).
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas).
* Strong data analysis and interpretation capability.
* Experience producing senior‑level reports and dashboards.
* Ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
* High attention to detail and data accuracy.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Preferred Additional Skills
* Experience with PPM and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
* Experience across both traditional (PRINCE2) and Agile/Lean delivery environments, supporting hybrid delivery models.
* Experience working in utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or other regulated environments.
