Looking to strengthen their Construction team with a Site Engineer, this company is well renowned for their excellence in delivering civil engineering projects, specifically within the water sector.
The Role
Based on-site, you will initially be part of the team delivering a Water Treatment Works Upgrade project in Bournemouth.
As the Site Engineer, you will report directly to the Site Manager, providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and compliance with the company's safe working practices.
2. Assisting in the preparation of construction programmes, Method Statements, Action Plans, and Risk Assessments.
3. Setting out the works.
4. Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings.
5. Agreeing on-site measurements and records with the client's staff.
6. Assisting in maintaining drawing files, drawing register, and site filing system.
7. Liaising with the design department to ensure updated information is always used.
About The Candidate
You will need civil engineering experience, ideally within the Water Sector, and possess the following:
1. BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction
2. Levelling & Surveying experience (using total stations & automatic levels)
3. First Aid at Work certification
4. SMSTS certification
5. EUSR SHEA Water (preferred)
