Assistant Manager - Peabody’s St Richards Hospital £27,666 per annum 5 out of 7 days Various shift patterns, including weekends We’re currently recruiting a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our Peabody’s team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day‑to‑day operations of a busy Peabody’s outlet within a healthcare environment, ensuring outstanding service, exceptional standards, and a great customer experience. Working alongside the Store Manager, you will help lead a motivated team, maintain operational excellence, and support a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Main Responsibilities Support with in house food preparation. Support the Store Manager in the daily running of the Peabody’s store. Lead, supervise, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional customer service. Step up and take responsibility in the Manager’s absence Develop and support the team to achieve sales, service, and operational targets. Maintain a positive, professional store atmosphere and resolve customer issues promptly Assist with staff rotas, stock management, ordering and inventory control. Lead shifts, including opening and closing the store to the required standard. Ensure the store is clean, well-presented, and compliant with all brand guidelines. Enforce, monitor, and maintain excellent standards of health & safety and food safety. Ensure all team members receive appropriate training, information, and supervision. Complete all required health & safety, food safety, and store compliance paperwork. Conduct audits and investigatory processes in line with company procedures. Ensure full compliance with all Peabody’s policies and procedures. About You Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within café, retail, or catering. Strong leadership and communication skills with a positive, proactive attitude. Passionate about delivering great customer service. Reliable, well-presented, and able to work under pressure. Strong attention to detail, particularly around safety and compliance. A team player with the ability to use your initiative. Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
