Acute medicine cross is looking to recruit exceptional nurses that enjoy fast pace, quick turn over nursing care whilst providing quality patient centered care.
Working across AMU and the short stay unit you will be providing care to Acute medical patients in the first phase of illness.
We are looking for band 5 staff nurses who are hardworking, motivated and committed to the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. This is an exciting time to be joining acute medicine and with the support of our dedicated Professional development team a great place to grow in your career.
This is 108 bedded unit encompassing Acute admission beds, enhanced care beds, frailty admission beds and short stay which will enable you to build your skills within the specialty of acute medicine. You will care for acute adult admissions, undertaking the nursing assessment, planning and implementation of care of a variety of medical presentations.
Main duties of the job
To co-ordinate and provide skilled nursing (without direct supervision) to patients, in accordance with responsibilities under the NMC Code of Conduct. To contribute to the continued development of nursing, including the supervision of junior nurses and support staff.
To work collaboratively within a Multidisciplinary team, internal and external to the organisation, to facilitate holistic seamless care delivery for all Trust Patients
