About the Role

Are you an experienced Support Worker or Children's Residential Worker who prefers working through the night?

If that sounds like you, Moxie People are proud to be supporting a Wales-based children's charity to recruit a Young Persons Night Worker for a small, nurturing residential home in Barry.

This is your chance to work with an organisation that values your wellbeing as much as the care you give.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll provide overnight care and emotional support to young people aged 14+ living in a small, supportive residential home.

Creating a calm, safe, and nurturing environment overnight
Building positive, trusting relationships with young people

Helping young people build confidence and independence
Keeping clear, accurate records and safeguarding information
Working within trauma-informed and psychologically aware frameworks

Every night you'll play a part in helping young people believe in a brighter future.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Experience supporting children or young people in residential or supported housing settings
Understanding of trauma-informed care and safeguarding frameworks
Ability to stay calm, caring, and consistent under pressure
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
A full UK driving licence (a company car is provided at the home)
A caring, resilient, and team-focused attitude
Why Join This Charity

Work for a purpose-driven organisation, not a profit-focused provider
Feel valued, supported, and part of a close-knit team
Enjoy a consistent schedule with real work-life balance
Be part of a charity that invests in your growth and wellbeing
