Job Title: Foreman Engineer/Fitter
Salary: £40,000 + Overtime + Annual Bonus
Rota: Monday – Friday
Location: Wigan
We’re looking for a skilled Foreman Engineer/Fitter to take charge of workshop operations, leading a team to maintain and service equipment efficiently. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the highest standards of reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing the day-to-day workshop, yard, and equipment maintenance.
* Leading a team of fitters, drivers, and apprentices.
* Ensuring equipment is serviced and maintained both on-site and in the depot.
* Managing scheduled workloads and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
* Upholding HSEQ compliance at all times.
* Providing technical support to colleagues and customers.
* Organizing vehicle maintenance and inspections.

Ideal Candidate:
* Ideally, the candidate will have an engineering qualification (HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent), but we are also keen to hear from those with a strong mechanical background, particularly in large diesel engines, rotating machinery, pumps, or heavy plant or Agricultural equipment.
* Leadership experience with a positive attitude.
* Ability to manage workshop operations and work flexibly when required.
* A UK driver's license
