At the RAC, we offer a competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £55,000 (including London Weighting Allowance, if applicable). Plus, you can boost your earnings with guaranteed overtime options, bringing your base salary to £44,385, along with additional overtime and bonus opportunities!
Your Work Schedule
Enjoy a balanced work-life with a 40-hour week, core hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and just 1 in 4 Saturdays. We have exciting opportunities available in the South East area, including:

Your Role as a Mobile Mechanic
As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in our Service, Maintenance, and Repair division, you’ll bring your expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We’ll equip you for success from day one with:

What We’re Looking For
You’re someone who gets people. This isn’t just about spanners and engines—our mechanics are out there on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride. You’re not just in the RAC—you are the RAC!
Every day is a little different—servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. You’ll manage your stock, do your reporting, and keep those customer conversations flowing. You’ll be trusted to think on your feet and make the right call for each customer.
Requirements
* Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
* At least 3 years hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
