Employee Relations Advisor – Talent Pool
Location: Birmingham (hybrid – typically 1‑2 days per week in the office)
Hours: Full time - 40 hours a week
Mitie is creating a talent pool of Employee Relations Advisors to support our growth. This opportunity is not a live vacancy but an invitation to register your interest for future Employee Relations roles.
What Future Roles Could Involve
* Managing a varied caseload of employee relations matters, providing clear, pragmatic advice aligned to employment law and best practice
* Coaching and empowering line managers to confidently manage ER cases while balancing risk and commercial outcomes
* Partnering with HR colleagues and senior stakeholders across the business
* Supporting ER policy and process reviews, contributing to continuous improvement
* Collaborating with Legal and Occupational Health teams on complex cases, including Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal matters
What We're Looking For
* HR or ER professionals with a strong working knowledge of employee relations policy and UK employment law
* Experience managing ER cases and delivering sound, solution‑focused advice
* A people‑centred approach, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work with professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
* Experience within a HR Shared Service Centre environment (desirable)
* CIPD qualification at Level 3, 5 or 7 (desirable – study support available)
