Overview
We are currently looking a skilled and motivated Class 1 Drivers to join our clients in Preston area.
We have few clients with a mixture of general haulage, deliveries of paper bales, trunking and tramping available.
Start times between 04.00-07.00 and 15.00-22.00. Monday to Friday with weekend work available.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate Class 1 vehicles.
* Conduct depot deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient service.
* Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
* Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.
Pay rates (PAYE, inc. holiday pay)
* 16.81/h days
* 20.21/h nights
* 21.49/h Saturday
* 23.53/h Sunday
Requirements
* Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license, CPC, Tacho card.
* Experience in general haulage and tramping.
* A clean driving record with no major endorsements.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
