Job Description Who will you be working with? Bearward Engineering is a Northampton based firm manufacturing radiators for the power generation industry. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Sheet Metal department team, working on the 0600-1400 shift (38 hours/week) Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for punching products using CNC punch presses/laser. You will maintain upkeep of machines, setting of machines and tools, manually load parts of machinery (using lifting/magnetic/suction equipment where necessary). Breaking out punched parts of steel using appropriate equipment. Responsible for checking quality of parts before/after process. Palletising/moving product using pump/stacker trucks. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. What do we want to know about you? Knowledge/use of punch machines is desirable but not essential. Ability to read drawings. Team player with a positive can-do attitude. Practical, hands on. Have good communication skills. Willing to work flexibly. Attention to good Housekeeping. What about the physical demands of the job? A manual environment, lifting heavy equipment with magnetic hoists and chain/strap hoists.
