Maintenance Engineering Technician
Wrexham
Rotating shifts: 6:00am2:00pm / 2:00pm10:00pm (Monday to Friday)
£42,000 per annum

A well-established and fast-growing manufacturing business based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate is looking for a Maintenance Engineering Technician to join its multi-skilled engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, highly automated production environment where engineering plays a critical role in keeping the factory running efficiently, safely and at high performance.
Youll be working in a fast-paced packing operation, supporting production through proactive maintenance, fault-finding, continuous improvement and the introduction of new equipment and processes.
The Role
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
Supporting production teams to improve line efficiency and equipment set-up
Minimising downtime through fast, effective fault finding
Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery
Completing maintenance records and shift handovers
Driving continuous improvement and LEAN projects
Implementing engineering improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Managing and maintaining spare parts stock
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
Essential Experience
At least 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Able to work under pressure and manage workload effectively
High level of attention to detail
Desirable
Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG
