Job Summary
It takes all types of people to deliver the kind of service that saves and improves lives. At NHS Blood and Transplant, you’ll join a team of more than 6,000 people who are making a genuine difference to communities, families, friends, relatives and more across the UK.
The role is an average of 4 shifts per week (33.32 hours) and involves working a variety of hours that change on a rotational basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, but no night shifts.
Responsibilities
* Greet donors, support them through the donation process and ensure they leave feeling good about their experience.
* Check donors into the system and ensure they are comfortable during and after their donation.
* Keep accurate records and handle blood products safely.
* Set up for a smooth session and operate the equipment lorry after full training.
* Work on your feet; lift and move as required as part of a supportive, close‑knit team.
Qualifications & Training
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
* Valid full UK driving licence (manual) with no more than 6 penalty points.
* Willingness to undertake development and training, including completion of the Skills for Health Care Certificate.
