Overview
Engineering @365 is working with a leading specialist joinery company that offers end-to-end design, manufacturing and installation services. They deliver high-quality joinery and specialist finishes across multiple sectors and are now looking to recruit a CAD Designer to join the team at their Hampshire facility.
As a CAD Designer, you’ll work in an established joinery team focusing on high-end joinery projects. This hands-on role involves designing bespoke interior joinery projects and collaborating closely with the design team to deliver high-quality solutions for a diverse range of clients.
Responsibilities
* Carry out measured site surveys and translate findings into accurate design drawings.
* Develop clear and practical manufacturing drawings from architectural concepts.
* Ensure technical drawings are cost-effective and incorporate specialist systems such as M&E, AV and IT where required.
* Apply and maintain consistent CAD standards, including layouts, line weights, numbering and layer management.
* Work directly with clients and design teams to define project briefs, present options, and secure approvals at key stages.
* Research and apply knowledge of current materials, products and design trends to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
* Prior experience as a joinery draughtsman.
* Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD/Inventor
* Experience working with wood and/or specialist joinery.
* Ideally comes from a bench hand joiner background though not essential.
