We are seeking a Consultant Physician to join us in delivering high quality medicine to older people in Fife; working within a very enthusiastic department, which is fully integrated with acute and general medicine. This post will allow our department to continue to provide ongoing care in our Acute Services, our Community Hospitals and Hospital at Home Teams. Applicants will participate in a weekday and weekend acute medical receiving rota which attracts 2 PAs.
The post holder will join a team of sixteen other Consultant Physicians in NHS Fife to meet the rising demand for frailty and older adult medicine services in Fife, across both Acute and Primary Care.
The post sits within the Medicine of the Elderly Department, which spans services across both the Health and Social Care Partnership and Medicine Directorate. It provides the opportunity to input into all aspects of frail and older adults medicine, including acute and community frailty assessment, rehabilitation and medical out-patients.
