Job Description
Cloud Architect
Remote working
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking to optimise our established Cloud deployment, built on Azure, to provide an AI-augmented agile cloud platform that responds quickly to demand from service users, making it "easy to do business" with Ramsay — for patients, clinicians, and partners. Working alongside colleagues in our “Digital & Technology” function, along with trusted partners in infrastructure, data, integration, and AI spaces, you will have great opportunities to lead and shape the future of Ramsay.
The role
As Cloud Architect, you will maintain the cloud platform and the roadmaps for adding new cloud capabilities, collaborating with the business on solution designs that serve both clinical and technology areas using cloud platform services and tools.
What you will do
* Govern and manage the cloud architecture for all existing and new services and platforms.
* Design and build end-to-end cloud architectures.
* Reduce the “time to market” for business initiatives by providing digital technology solutions based on native (Azure) commoditised cloud services and capabilities.
* Understand and recommend utilisation of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, SaaS) based on business requirements to simplify application architecture and operating models.
What you will bring
* Good understanding of the “Azure cloud adoption” and “Azure well-architected” frameworks, with experience in scaled cloud migration and datacentre exit programs.
* Knowledge of architecture models, principles, standards (TOGAF, Zachman), project management (waterfall, agile), and service management (ITIL). Azure cloud certification and exposure to cloud providers (AWS, Azure), service models, and diverse technical configurations are preferred.
* Highly desirable experience with:
o Infrastructure as Code (Bicep), CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Version Control (Git), Scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI), Automation (PowerAutomate).
o Entra ID user accounts, groups, app registrations, single sign-on, managed identities, RBAC, connect, B2B sync, multi-tenant management.
o Hub and spoke virtual network topologies, virtual WAN, secured hubs with Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VPN, Network Virtual Appliances (Meraki SD-WAN).
o Front Door and Web Application Firewall, including custom domains, DNS, origin groups, origins, compression, caching, log inspection, exception management.
o App Services (Web, API, Container, Function, Logic, Static), API Management, Service Bus, Databases (SQL, MySQL), Key Vault, Storage Account, Application Insights.
o Data Factory, Databricks (Unity Catalog, SCIM Provisioning, Permissions, Delta Sharing, multi-workspace management), Storage Account (Data Lake), Power BI.
o Virtual Machines, Bastion, Flow Logging, Log Analytics Workspaces, Event Hub, Diagnostic settings, Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Private Endpoints.
o Azure AI Services.

* Private Medical Cover (partner & dependants options)
* Life Assurance (Death in Service) x3 salary
