Our client, a leading financial services organisation based in Glasgow, is embarking on a significant transformation journey. To support this, they are seeking an experienced
PMO Operations Manager
to lead, shape and mature the project management office, ensuring the successful delivery of a large and complex change agenda.
This is a key leadership role, providing structure, governance and insight across a diverse portfolio of initiatives. You'll oversee PMO processes, standards and reporting, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders, project managers, and change leaders to drive consistent, high-quality delivery.
With visibility across the change portfolio, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling the business to achieve its strategic goals, particularly within investment, pensions and customer-focused digital solutions.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience as a
PMO Operations Manager
(or Senior PMO Lead), ideally in a fast-paced financial services environment.
* Strong understanding of
project and programme governance frameworks
, with the ability to tailor them pragmatically.
* Skilled in both waterfall and agile delivery environments, with a flexible and outcome-focused approach.
* Demonstrable experience of establishing and embedding
PMO standards, tools and processes
that add value and reduce delivery risk.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge, influence and guide senior leaders and delivery teams.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency with
MS applications
(SharePoint, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio); experience with JIRA or similar tools is an advantage.
Your Experience Includes
* Designing, implementing and leading PMO functions in complex organisations.
* Portfolio planning and prioritisation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
* Oversight of financials, RAID, resource management, benefits realisation and business readiness.
* Producing clear, consistent and insightful portfolio reporting for executive stakeholders.
* Coaching and developing project managers and change teams to build enterprise-wide delivery capability.
