School Health Care Assistant - Part time
Are you passionate about supporting children’s health and wellbeing? We are looking for a dedicated and organised School Health Care Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic screening team within Oxford Health’s 0–19 Children’s Public Health Service.
The role is to support the 0‑19 CYP Public Health Service for children, young people, and families, implementing the 0‑19 Healthy Child Programme by delivering the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), Vision screening and supporting Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) across a variety of settings.
Working: Twenty hours per week during Term Time only in the South East of Oxfordshire. Typical schedule 09:30 am – 02:30 pm, four days per week, with flexibility to accommodate a suitable working pattern.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out vision and NCMP screening in primary schools following established protocols.
* Liaise with schools to schedule screening visits and manage appointment logistics.
* Maintain accurate records and manage documentation related to screening outcomes.
* Escalate concerns appropriately and seek support when needed.
* Support your locality team with wider public health tasks when appropriate.
