Musgrave Northern Ireland is recruiting a Credit Controller to join our Finance Team.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Credit Control Manager in managing debt and risk for the business, including providing accurate and timely information.
* Implement company policy on credit control.
* Support the cash on delivery process.
* Assist the Credit Control Assistant in ensuring all payments are allocated promptly.
* Help the Credit Control Team Lead create direct debit files and submit them to the bank, circulating remittance advice notes to customers.
* Prepare and circulate monthly statements.
* Employ collection techniques such as letters, phone calls, and stop lists as appropriate.
* Maintain good communication with the sales team, keeping them informed and enlisting their help when needed.
* Handle customer queries effectively.
* Produce weekly reports for management on overdue balances.
* Support the Credit Control Team Lead in opening new customer credit accounts in line with the Approval Matrix.
* Follow HMRC procedures for VAT-exempt accounts.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience as a Credit Controller in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong administrative, planning, and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and be a forward thinker.
* Customer-focused attitude.
* This is an 18-month contract.
