Dallam Lane Medical Centre is seeking to appoint a Salaried General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive practice team for 2 sessions a week. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated GP to work within a patient‑focused environment that values continuity of care and high‑quality clinical practice.
We are ideally looking for a GP with experience of working within a very fast‑paced duty team although all suitable applicants will be considered.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver a mix of routine and urgent GP consultations (face‑to‑face and telephone as clinically appropriate)
- Manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions
- Provide appropriate prescribing, investigations, and referrals
- Ensure safe and effective clinical decision‑making and safety‑netting
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in clinical meetings and practice development activities

Job responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based care to our patients
- Conduct face‑to‑face, telephone, and online consultations
- Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with national and local guidelines
- Participate in care planning and health promotion for patients with long‑term conditions
- Issue prescriptions appropriately in accordance with practice and NHS policy
- Review test results, hospital letters and correspondence promptly
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical record keeping using System One clinical system
Qualifications
- GMC registered general practitioner
- Inclusion on the NHS Performers List
- Good clinical and consultation skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload independently
- Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑focused care
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working in duty/urgent care clinics
- Previous experience in UK general practice
- Interest in developing clinical or service areas within the practice
- Familiarity with System One
- Basic IT skills
