About the role
As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will supervise secondary school classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students stay engaged with their learning.
This role provides excellent experience for those considering teacher training, a PGCE, or a career in education.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supervising secondary school classes (KS3 and KS4) across Telford schools
2. Delivering pre-planned lessons and learning activities set by teaching staff
3. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
4. Supporting students to remain focused and complete assigned work
5. Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
