Are you a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer who is looking to work in a fast‑paced, global market‑leading company?
The role overview
This hands‑on role involves designing electro‑mechanical products, building prototypes, and thoroughly testing and refining the designs. Finalised designs will be ready for production, customer integration and sales.
Responsibilities
* Design new products and product improvements from the initial "sketch" phase through to manufacture
* Build and test prototypes to assess performance, safety, quality and manufacturability; then iterate the design to make improvements
* Optimise designs to ensure they are cost‑effective and align with company processes and document standards
* Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the product integrates into their specific environments and systems
Essential Skills & Experience
* Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Production or Design Engineering or a vocational equivalent
* Competent with CAD and document control systems
* Knowledge of mechanical mechanisms and design
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection moulding, assembly and materials
* Approachable, good communicator and able to collaborate with others
