We are a leading Chinese manufacturer and wholesaler of premium Barware, Kitchenware, and Tableware, with an established legal presence and office in the UK. For years, we have supplied high-quality products to renowned trade suppliers across the UK and globally under strict NDAs. With the expiration of these agreements, we are now strategically expanding our direct B2B presence in the UK market. Our goal is to build long-term partnerships with distributors, hotel groups, restaurant chains, and other major end-users in the hospitality industry.
The Role
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Business Development & Sales Manager to drive our direct market entry and expansion across the UK. In addition to leading business development efforts, you will be responsible for training, directing, and mentoring a Sales Executive or Customer/After-Sales Service staff member to ensure seamless client relationship management and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited:
* Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to penetrate the UK hospitality market directly.
* Identify, approach, and build relationships with distributors, hotel chains, restaurant groups, and large-scale end-users.
* Lead contract negotiations and close high-value partnerships.
* Train, mentor, and manage a Sales Executive or Customer/After-Sales Service staff member to support business growth and client satisfaction.
* Develop and implement after-sales service protocols to ensure long-term client retention and satisfaction.
* Represent our brand at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
* Collaborate with our global supply and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Provide market intelligence and feedback to shape product development and marketing strategies.
About You
Essential Experience & Skills:
* Proven track record in business development or key account management within the hospitality, catering, or premium retail sectors.
* Experience in training, mentoring, or managing sales or customer service teams.
* Existing network of contacts with UK distributors, hotel groups, or restaurant chains.
* Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives from prospecting to closure.
* Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to achieving targets.
Desirable:
* Experience dealing with imported products or supply chain management.
* Knowledge of the barware, kitchenware, or tableware markets.
* Familiarity with B2B sales cycles and complex stakeholder environments.
