Johnson Controls is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead specification-stage engagement and create lasting impact across the UK&I region.

What You’ll Do

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll be the technical and strategic bridge between our Controls portfolio and high-profile clients including consultants, developers, contractors, and end users. You’ll:

7. Drive demand creation from the specification stage of key projects

8. Identify vertical markets and develop tailored solutions

9. Deliver high-impact technical seminars, presentations, and product demos

10. Expand brand awareness across your territory

11. Build and nurture long-term relationships with prestigious customers

12. Collaborate with Field and Product Controls teams to meet business objectives

How You’ll Do It

You’ll leverage your in-depth knowledge of Controls products to:

13. Guide design and specification initiatives with consultants and developers

14. Liaise with R&D, Product Management, and Technical Support to align solutions with customer needs

15. Develop technical and marketing tools to support product adoption

16. Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotes, and contacts in approved databases

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a driven, independent contributor with:

17. Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in BMS

18. Proven systems design expertise and strong technical knowledge of Controls

19. Exceptional presentation and persuasion skills

20. Strategic planning and market research experience

21. High-level prospecting and stakeholder engagement capabilities

22. A proactive, results-driven mindset with a collaborative spirit

23. Willingness to travel across the UK

24. Unquestionable integrity and a can-do attitude
